Early 1994
Initial
research and development for the MedEZ™ healthcare software
package began.
December 1995
Integrated
Software Solutions, Corp., the makers of the MedEZ™ products becomes a
registered company with the Florida Department of State, Division of
Corporations and opens its corporate headquarters.
August 1996
The
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is passed. The act
seeks to improve portability and continuity of health insurance coverage in the
group and individual markets, to combat waste, fraud, and abuse in health
insurance and healthcare delivery, to promote the use of medical savings
accounts, to improve access to long-term care services and coverage, and to
simplify the administration of health insurance.
Development
and testing of the MedEZ™ behavioral health and rehabilitation modules,
MedEZ-CMHC/CORF/ORF is completed and the customizable software is released for
public purchase.
The
MedEZ™ healthcare software package is well-received and gains its first client.
Due
to the overwhelming response from the healthcare community and the demands of
healthcare providers in private practice, the authors of MedEZ™ begin research
and development of the MedEZ™ Medical Office software.
1998
MedEZ™
expands its client base in the CMHC field acquiring clients in
Development
and testing of the MedEZ™ Medical Practice software package is completed and
the software is released for public purchase.
August 2000
The
MedEZ™ name and logo is trademarked at the U.S. Patent and Trademark office.
March 2002
MedEZ™
healthcare software becomes HIPAA-compliant.
August 2002
MedEZ™
opens a corporate office in
December 2003
Electronic
Health Records, formerly known as Electronic Medical Records or EMR, are added
to the MedEZ™ software packages.
2004
The
MedEZ™ Inpatient Psychiatric Facility and Hospital package is released.
2005
The
MedEZ™ Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility software package BETA version becomes
available for trial.
May 2006
MedEZ™
develops customizable modules for Diagnostic/Radiology Managed Care
Organization.
July 2006
Digital
Imaging and Communication in Medicine (DICOM) support is added to the expanding
MedEZ™ software packages.
Today
MedEZ™
includes experienced professionals in the fields of medicine, software design,
